Movement and dance is a great form of exercise for children and adults with or without disabilities. Regardless of your abilities or what shape you are in, you will love moving and dancing!
Inclusive Movement and Dance provides opportunities for movement and dance to children and adults with disabilities in an encouraging and supportive environment.
“When we think about those with disabilities, many people don’t usually think that their special way to look, walk, think, feel, express about our world can be resources for dance or any other art. It is hard for us to see the world from their point of view: from silence, blindness, delay, autism, a wheelchair or a walker. How many of us can describe the world and our spirit with that perception? Not many. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Do you like to volunteer? Do you like to dance?
Would you like to make a difference?
Would you like to learn how to dance while helping others learn how to dance?
We are looking for people who have a heart for service AND a heart for those with disabilities.
Volunteers work one-on-one with the dancers in class and at performances, providing help in movement and in learning choreography.
No experience necessary……you will be trained!
Must be at least 16 years old (18 years or older will complete a background check)
Need community service hours? We can provide those.
